WHY CAN'T BOILER EXPLOSIONS BE PREVENTED?

Unfortunately, dozens of boiler explosions occur every year in our country, causing an average of 10 people to die and millions of Usd in material damage.

So why can't boiler accidents be prevented?

There are three general reasons for boiler explosions:

1- Operating the devices in boiler rooms that do not comply with the standards

2- The boiler operators have not been well trained and were not competent enough.

3- Lack of periodic maintenance and inspection of boilers

As KBSB, we established the Boiler Operator training and MYK approved examination and certification center in cooperation with Gedik University in order to prevent Boiler Explosions, which is the most significant issue we are working on, and we are launching it very soon.

In addition, we revised the TS 2025 Steam Boilers Operation Inspection and Maintenance General Rules standard in accordance with today's conditions and technology and submitted it to the approval of TSE.

We also met with the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services about the operation, maintenance and inspection of steam boilers in accordance with the revised TS 2025.

It is possible to completely eliminate boiler explosions that have not been encountered in Europe for many years. We hope we will succeed as soon as possible.

Our History

Our association was established in 1985 and is one of the oldest and most established sectoral associations of our country. It continues its work to contribute to the country's industrialist and Country development as a broad and strong platform where the boiler and pressure vessel industry and its auxiliary equipment and raw material suppliers, which are components of this industry, come together.

Our association is a member and active stakeholder of important and influential institutions such as Turkish air conditioning Assembly, MAKFED (Federation of machine manufacturers), Türk Loydu Foundation, Vocational Qualifications Authority, BTSB BASTEK committee.

KBSB, as an effective and highly recognized non-governmental organization with its deep-rooted history, is an organization that has the power to express and defend all kinds of problems and needs of our members and the sector at the highest level.
